Acting on a tip-off that wanted fugitives from Thailand were renting accommodation on Daw Nang Kaw’s compound in Hweinamlin Village, Zone 2, Pongtong Ward, Tachilek Township, a combined team, including members of the Anti-Drug Police Force, conducted a search at 4:30 pm on 2 June. As a result, two wanted fugitives from Thailand, Mr Phanatsak Riabpuang and Miss Wanida Jakkeaw, were arrested with 11,000 methamphetamine tablets.
